The East Midlands has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to supercharge its economy and create tens of thousands of new jobs via three landmark developments of national significance. The developments cover the size of three Olympic Parks with transformational opportunities around three main growth clusters:

Government has highlighted the pioneering approach of the new EM Devco as a model for accelerating development, realising large-scale potential, and achieving locally led high quality growth. Led by five local authorities with Nottinghamshire being the employing body EM Devco brings together the ambition of partners from business, universities, and government.

As the Media and Communications lead you will co-ordinate all related activities including the design, delivery and evaluation of integrated communications and stakeholder engagement strategies on time – and on budget. You will plan, deliver, and maintain multi-channel activity to promote development opportunities, reach target audiences, and evaluate insight-led campaign strategies, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, originality, and topicality of content.

Ensuring that EM Devco’s programme stakeholders are appropriately informed, messages are understood, and opportunities are maximised are prerequisites for this role. And you must be able to build trusting relationships across our complex network of stakeholders which includes MPs, universities, local authorities, local enterprise partnerships, businesses, and the health sector.

Reporting to the Programme Director you will need to be able to manage our client team consultants whilst holding financial responsibility associated with each of our individual projects.

This role is an agile one with some core site presence required on occasion.

This role is potentially open to a secondment.

This role is a 1 Year Fixed-Term-Contract due to the new status of the organisation. The ambition is that these roles will become permanent once we’ve gained initial success.
