As Group Manager you will lead on the planning, economic development, transport, and infrastructure advice for EM Devco and develop the overall proposition undertaking early infrastructure planning for all our developmental programmes in accordance with our Business Plan.

Reporting to the Programme Director and with more than £1M budget for the first year, the financial responsibility associated with each individual project will fall to you along with reaching our target benefits of £4.8bn GVA. You will engage a senior, complex stakeholder group to ensure effective governance, and provide the Managing Director, Programme Director and other key stakeholders with high quality strategic advice, reports, and briefings.

Most likely with a background in local government it is essential that you have managed and delivered upon extensive transport and planning strategies. A challenging role you will need to have a high degree of command, authority, and gravitas and be able to lead and inspire your team as we continue to grow our business. Ideally with an Honours degree or equivalent – and potentially a member of a professional body, your understanding of relevant legislation associated highways, transport, planning, and environmental legislation is pre-requisite.

This role is an agile one with some core site presence required on occasion.

This role is potentially open to a secondment.

This role is a 1 Year Fixed-Term-Contract due to the new status of the organisation. The ambition is that these roles will become permanent once we’ve gained initial success.
