A Vision
For Growth

The East Midlands has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to supercharge its economy and create tens of thousands of new jobs via four landmark developments of national significance.

These new plans could create 84,000 jobs and add billions in value to the regional economy.

The developments cover the size of three Olympic Parks with transformational opportunities around four major investment opportunities:

  • Attenborough Great Park – a park like no other
  • Toton & Chetwynd – the model for living and working
  • East Midlands Parkway & the A453 – including Ratcliffe Power Station
  • East Midlands Airport Area – Britain’s busiest dedicated air-freight hub

These opportunities are introduced in the EM Eye Prospectus: A Vision for Growth, prepared by EM DevCo which is a local authority owned delivery vehicle.

Government has highlighted the pioneering approach of EM DevCo as a model for accelerating development, realising large-scale potential, and achieving locally-led high quality growth.
